# Creating Notes for a Group Booking

When running group sessions, minimise your administrative workload by creating a group note for attendees, which is then saved individually to their own client records to ensure it remains complete.  

Notes can be created and saved to all or selected clients, with any necessary adjustments then made on a case by case basis on the client record. 

### Before you begin

Before you can create a group note, ensure that:

- A **Group Appointment Type** has been created.
- A **Group** or **Block** booking has been created in the calendar
- Attendees have been added

### To create a group note 

1. Locate the group session in the calendar and click on it to open it. 
2. Use the checkboxes down the left hand side to select one or more clients.
3. Open the Actions dropdown and choose **Create group note**.

4. A new page will open displaying a similar view to the standard notes page, but also including the group session at the top, and the attendees on the right hand side:

5. Set the **keyword** you'd like to use for the note, and optionally select a template and enter a label. Private note will set the note as visible only to the user creating it (and site administrators). 
6. Create the note as normal using the formatting options present. 
7. When the note is complete, click on **Save Note**, which will create an individual note for all selected attendees.
