# How do I disconnect my Stripe account from WriteUpp?

### Connections made before 12th November 2024:

If you connected your Stripe account before 12/11/24, you'll be using a Standard Stripe connection. If you'd like to disconnect your Stripe account:

1. Open the Main Menu and choose **Integrations & Add Ons**
2. Click on **Configure** underneath **Stripe**.
3. Click on the red  **Disconnect Stripe** button at the bottom of the page
4. Your account will now be disconnected

If you are having issues with Stripe and wish to continue to use your Standard Stripe account, please use the Reconnect with Stripe button on screen to follow the connection process again. This will prevent a complete disconnection of the two:

Please note - If you disconnect your Standard Stripe account, you'll then be switched to our updated Stripe connection which unlocks lower transaction fees via WriteUpp. To connect Stripe again, you'll need to create a new Stripe account to use with the new connection. ### Connections made after 12th November 2024

If you connected your Stripe account after 12/11/24, you'll be using a Unified Stripe connection. If you disconnect a Unified account, you won't be able to use the same account via WriteUpp If you decide to reconnect at a later date. This is because the connection between Stripe and WriteUpp creates a new account as part of the onboarding process. If you'd like to disconnect your Stripe account:

1. Open the Main Menu and choose **Integrations & Add Ons**
2. Click on **Configure** underneath **Stripe**.
3. Click on the red  **Disconnect Stripe** button at the bottom of the page
4. Your account will now be disconnected

###### **If you disconnect your Stripe account:**

- Your clients will no longer be able to pay any invoices you've already sent them containing a payment link or button. If they click on the pay link or button, they'll be advised that online payments are unavailable:

- If you have prepayment switched on within Online Booking, this setting will be removed and clients will no longer be prompted to pay as part of the booking process.
