# How do I turn off SMS appointment communications?

To stop sending all SMS confirmations or reminders, you must delete the triggers that you have set up:

1.  Go to **Settings** -\> **Scheduling** -\> **Appointment Communication**:

You *must* have the role of Site Administrator to be able to do this.

 2.  Find the SMS communication you'd like to turn off and click on the **three dots** at the end of the row.

3.  Click **Delete**:

4.  Repeat for any other triggers you have set up for delivery by SMS.

5. SMS confirmations and reminders will no longer be sent for the events that you have deleted.

The templates linked to any triggers you delete will remain saved for you, so if at any point you'd like to resume sending SMS communications, you just need to set up the triggers again using the previous templates.
